About the founder
The story begins with a Parisian girl whose designs and creations follow the rhythm of her moods, acquaintances and adventures.
Olivia Gurdjian loves dreaming, traveling and has always entertained a strong love affair with silk; she designs clothing as a reflection of herself.
Her designs are suave, poetic and full of fantasies.
She draws her inspiration from her numerous trips but also knows how to reinvent herself along with nature, photography, music and architecture that she finds are all sources of infinite creativity.
Her collections are a subtle reflection of both her personality and sensitivity that are shared between Paris and Asia.
Olivia plays with established codes as people do with their own identity.
From one collection to another, she she develops the unique fabric of her style and presents us with designs that act as a mirror to her mood.
The visual identity and artistic direction at Bubble Mood are developed by Olivia’s husband Lucas Gurdjian’s and his creative studio, Warehouse Studio.
For over a year now, the designer has wished to create a flagship piece that would be at the crossroads between Japan and Paris. She has put a new spin on Kimonos, a traditional Asian design to make it indispensable in both summer and winter.
Falling in love with a fabric, turning it into a kimono, adore textures and be inspired to share them with all of you, walk the world and come back with incredible inspirations…
This is where we come come from. And this is where we’ll keep heading.
No matter the calendars, the buying seasons, stocks, orders, sales, what we really want to do is create unique pieces that will please us, and hoping that they will inspire you.
Let there be something more than just a sale. We want to share a story with you, we want you to feel as unique as the pieces we create.
We don’t want to move on with industry rules. We’d rather stay by your side.
That will force us into never stopping our creativity, re-inventing ourselves, and keep digging until we meet around a print.
We try to make each Bubble Mood piece and design unique through its own creative process.
Bubble Mood does not follow any “recipe”, we invent story for each of our kimono.
We are on a total opposite direction of what we call “Mass market” and it is essential for us to keep this designer approach.
We follow a politic that goes against the standardization of the fashion industry by working with craftsmen and tribes who offer us their knowledge, their skills and their talent.
A combination of ideas, an ethical approach and a lot of “savoir faire” from different horizons.
This is our vision of Fashion and we hope that you will like it.
